DESCRIPTION:\nGoal of this presentation is to provide ideas that are organized in a meaningful way that could be a guide for how we approach our estate planning clients and think about helping them, and that can be implemented by a diligent, knowledgeable lawyer, client, CPA, and investment professionals. Almost all of the ideas here have a “next level” that may make them more efficient or effective, but may also make them more risky, more likely to be improperly implemented, and, most importantly from the point of view of the middle-rich client, unnecessary.\n \n \n \n\n \nBob Kirkland is a distinguished legal professional with a wealth of experience in estate planning and trust administration.  He is the founding partner of Kirkland Woods & Martinsen LLP with offices in Missouri and Kansas.  Bob specializes in the areas such as estate and gift tax minimization, probate, avoidance, gifting techniques, asset protection, charitable planning, and business succession planning   He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and has been involved in various professional and civic activities, including serving as a Vice Chair of the Missouri Bar Probate and Trust Committee and being a member of the editorial board of Trusts and Estates magazine.   Kirkland is also a frequent author and lecturer in the estate planning and chartiable giving areas, having lectured on a variety of topics at seminars sponsored by ACTEC and other organzations.\n \n \n
