Fletcher Belcher, JD\n \n \n \nWM. Fletcher Belcher practices law in the area of probate and trust litigation and maintains his office in St. Petersburg, Florida. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and law degree from Stetson University. He is a Former law instructor at the U.S. Military Academy (West Point).\n \nFletcher is a member of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of The Florida Bar. Served in the following positions for the RPPTL Section: Section Chair; Director of the Probate & Trust Law Division; Chair of the Probate and Trust Litigation Committee; and as a member of the following law revision committees: Ad Hoc Trust Code Revision Committee that authored the Florida Trust Code; Ad Hoc Elective Share Committee that authored the Florida elective share statute; and Power of Attorney Committee that authored the 2011 Florida Power of Attorney Act. An author of Litigation Under Florida Probate Code manual chapters on Jointly-Held Assets, Tortious Interference in Estate Planning, and Jury Trials in Probate. Fletcher is also a frequent lecturer on probate and trust topics at Florida Bar and other CLE seminars; Co-Program Chair of the Probate Team seminars produced by the Florida Legal Education Association.\n \nFletcher is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and member of its Fiduciary Litigation Committee. He is listed as an AV Preeminent Rated Lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell; listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1997; listed in Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite since 2004; listed in Super Lawyers; named by Best Lawyers as the Litigation - Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” for the Tampa Area for 2012 and for St. Petersburg for 2016, and as a “Tier 1 Best Law Firm” for Litigation - Trusts & Estates in the St. Petersburg Metro Area for 2016 and 2017.
